Product QuestionsAnswered by Jim, the Water Pump Expert
Hi Jim. I heard this does not come with terminal posts. Is this true? If so, what part is required?

Answer
That Wayne WSB1275 battery has a post that use screws to secure the leads – no actual posts. The screws for the terminal posts are in the bottom of the box – there is a space from the fold in the box and plastic bag and there are the screws.

Jim, I have the Wayne esp25 back up pump but have no idea as to which battery is the best fit for it. Should I get the AGM or this Wayne wsb1275 acid filled battery?? Your thoughts please.

Answer
Thank you for your interest in Sump Pumps Direct. That Wayne WSB1275 - Maintenance Free AGM Backup Sump Pump Battery (75 Amps), is the recommended battery for the ESP25, however any 12V, deep cycle AGM battery rated at 75 amps or more, will do the trick.
If you have any other questions, please let me know.

It is not clear from the picture what type of connection is accommodated from the backup pump. My 3 year old Wayne ESP 25 backup sump pump control box unit has ring terminals for the two battery connection leads. Will my ring terminals connect directly to this WSB1275 battery, or do I need some type of adapter?

Answer
Batteries such as these are designed to operate BATTERY BACKUP SYSTEMS. THese systems are installed as a secondary pumping system to your current primary pump. If your're interested in something to power your existing pump, you can check out the SUMPRO Fully-Automatic 1800W Auxiliary Power Source w/ 2 Batteries or our current offerings of GENERATORS as another possible solution.
