Wayne PLS100 - 12 GPM 1 HP Stainless Steel Portable Sprinkling Pump

The PLS100 pump is a replacement for a pump that was bought from Tractor Supply 6 years ago. I bought a Wayne as they always have had a good Rep. I installed all the same hose intake and discharge. But the one problem I am having
is at the electric housing is always so hot you can't put your hand on it. I have never had this problem in the past.

I called Wayne and talked to Tina and was told at that was normal. This is not normal and nothing runs that hot and I know at this pump is not going to last. I am 72 and had a lot of pumps and elect. motors over the years and I have some idea of what I am talking about. If you can help please let me know.
