Submersible utility pumps have been around for a while. Every once in a while, a manufacturer surprises us with some new cool technology.
This pump is the most technologically advanced of it's kind with it's iSwitch Water Sensing Technology. Most other pumps will just run continuous, or run in time intervals causing unnecessary wear and tear on the pump. This pump will only turn on when it senses water that needs to be pumped out. What a concept!
This pump also features an oil free design so if you need to empty out a little of koi pond after heavy rain, this one won't harm those precious fish.
For all of the above reasons this pump earns the top spot!

Needed: Sump Pump For A Pond With Fish
What I need is an oiless sump pump. I chose this one because it was the only oiless pump you had that would pump excess water back into a homemade pond. This one is designed so that it pumps water once it is about an inch or two high. The pump works too hard. I needed one with a floating switch so water can build up in the container and then be pumped up to the pond. I do like the pump, it just doesn't do what I need it to do.

Saved Us
We got flooded on Wednesday and started pumping out the basement trying to save the hot water boiler. No one in town had a sump pump appropriate to the job so we were staying up all night turning the pump we had on and off every fifteen minutes.
Called Water Pumps Direct and they had two perfect pumps air freighted to us over night. We got to sleep again before we went totally crazy.
