A: 1. A single line telephone jack. This does not need to be a dedicated phone jack; a phone can share the jack with the BD-5000 through the use of a telephone line splitter (not included). These are available at most hardware, electronics or discount stores. You must have Touch-ToneŽ telephone service for the BD-5000 to properly operate. The BD-5000 will not work on pulse or rotary dialing telephone systems.
2.The BD-5000 can call any telephone number including a cell phone, calling card number, or international number.
3.The BD-5000 will just dial one phone number, although, the Protected Home WaterSiren Plus model WS-04 which is required to sense any potential flooding will sound a 90 Decibel Alarm. by Jose, Product Expert

A: Yes, you will also need the Protected Home WaterSiren Plus which would be connected to the contacts inside the phone dialer. The BD-5000 has a two conductor wire that can be connected to any device that has a dry contact that will either close or open such as the WS-04. by Jose, Product Expert
